See the moment when part of the inmates who escaped in Castro are recaptured

On Thursday night, eight prisoners escaped from Castro’s public prison, according to information provided by security secretary Fábio Pinheiro. With the security forces in readiness, including the Municipal Guard, Military Police and DEPEN agents, four of them have already been recaptured in a rapid action by the GM team in the city center.

According to information from the Military Police, a private vigilante reported to GM that he saw the detainees fleeing through the back of the prison. Initially the escape was denied, but after physical conference in the cells (about 5 minutes later), it was found that a hole had been opened in the wall of the back of the 402 cell (external gallery). Around 8:30 p.m., the detainees were given the absence of those who fled towards the Vila dos Pacas (opposite bank of the Iapó River).

A video released shows the moment when the four individuals are approached in a vehicle Fiat Palio, around 10:10 p.m. In another part of the video you can see the escape of the prisoners.

In approaching the vehicle, an agile and integrated response from the security forces resulted in the recapture of four men who had fled the local Public Chain. The action took place in the central region, mobilizing teams of the Municipal Guard, Military Police and DEPEN agents in an intense search work soon after the receipt of the complaints.

With the information that the wanted trafficked in a blue Fiat Palio coming from the neighborhood Vila dos Paca, the police forces organized a siege in the region. During the patrol, GM teams successfully intercepted the MBQ-5382 license plate vehicle, which was stopped at the traffic light next to the Hotel Buganville.

Inside the car, the garrisons confirmed the presence of the four fugitives: Robson José Cordeiro, Sheldon Verza, Braian Washington Lopes de Oliveira and Marcos Vinícius de Jesus. All were approached and immediately arrested.

After the successful operation, the individuals were redirected to Castro’s public prison in perfect physical integrity. The car used by the group was collected at the headquarters of the Municipal Guard and delivered to the 43rd Police Station for the appropriate procedures.
