Seminar reinforces security in nature tourism of Campos Gerais
Seminar in Ponta Grossa discussed security in nature tourism of Campos Gerais, accident prevention, legislation and qualification.

The Campos Gerais Safer Tourism Seminar brought together, on Thursday (8), in Ponta Grossa, experts and professionals connected to the sector to discuss safety in nature and adventure tourism. The meeting was part of a regional initiative that seeks to qualify services, prevent accidents and strengthen Campos Gerais as a safe tourist destination.
Promoted by the Tourism Development Agency of Campos Gerais (Adetur), in partnership with Sebrae Paraná, the seminar brought together representatives of institutions such as the Living Holiday Association, the Brazilian Association of Ecotourism and Adventure Tourism Companies and the Ponta Grossa Procon.
Among the topics addressed were accident prevention, planning for emergency situations, legislation, consumer rights and the responsibilities of enterprises that market tourism experiences in natural areas.
Program seeks to strengthen security throughout the region
The meeting is part of the Campos Gerais Safer Tourism program, developed since 2025. The proposal is to work on tourism security in a regional way, considering the Campos Gerais as a single destination, and not just as the sum of the municipalities that make up the region.
During the event, it was highlighted that tourists usually do not visit the region in search of only an isolated activity, but of a complete experience, involving natural attractions, gastronomy, accommodation and other services.
Therefore, the program provides for actions aimed at both private initiative and public power and visitors themselves.
According to the organizers, the intention is to improve the quality of care and expand the culture of prevention in activities related to adventure tourism and nature tourism.
Safety and comfort are priorities for tourists
One of the points highlighted during the seminar was the importance of security in the decision of the consumer when hiring tourist services.
Industry representatives highlighted that comfort and safety are among the main factors considered by visitors in the choice of tours, accommodations and experiences.
In this context, the preparation of entrepreneurs becomes fundamental, especially in activities carried out on trails, rivers, waterfalls, canyons and other natural environments.
The program also discussed the need for prior planning for emergencies, prevention procedures and clarity on the responsibilities of those who market adventure activities.
Campos Gerais want to advance as a safe destination
The program’s proposal is to make the Campos Gerais a national reference in nature tourism and adventure safely.
In addition to reducing risks, the qualifying actions seek to improve the service to tourists and strengthen the regional image as a destination organized and prepared to receive visitors.
The initiative also encourages the adoption of responsible and sustainable practices in tourism enterprises, associating safety, environmental preservation and quality of the services offered.
With natural attractions distributed in different municipalities, Campos Gerais has strong potential for segments such as ecotourism, hiking, cycling, rural tourism and adventure activities.
The expectation is that new trainings and actions of the program will continue to involve entrepreneurs, public managers and professionals who act directly with visitors in the region.
