Sexta às Seis begins this Saturday with a free show by Lyra dos Campos in Ponta Grossa
Sexta às Seis will have a special opening performance at the Environmental Park at 6pm, and will include another 10 dates and 20 performances until December. Check out the full schedule.
The Friday at Six 2026 starts this Friday (25), in Ponta Grossa, with a special presentation of the Lyra School Band of the Fields. The event will be held at Parque Ambiental, from 6pm, with free entry. Promoted by Prefeitura de Ponta Grossa, through the Municipal Secretariat of Culture (SMC), the project will have 10 more dates of musical presentations between October and December.
The initiative is one of the most traditional of the cultural programming of the municipality and aims to enhance the local musicians, in addition to offering the population a free option of leisure and entertainment.
In this edition, the project will have 20 presentations in the regular programming, bringing together artists and bands of different musical styles.
Lyra dos Campos opens this Friday
The opening of the Friday at 6:00 2026 will be on account of the Lyra School Band of Campos, a group linked to the Municipal Secretariat of Culture of Ponta Grossa.
The band develops a work focused on musical training, ensemble practice and participation in the cultural life of the municipality.
The group brings together musicians in activities involving rehearsals, musical reading, tuning, interpretation and development of skills necessary for collective presentations.
The repertoire of Lyra dos Campos includes concert works, Brazilian music, arrangements of popular repertoire and compositions written or adapted for symphonic band.
The special opening presentation takes place this Friday (25th), at 6pm, at Parque Ambiental.
The project will have 20 presentations by December.
After the official opening, the Friday at Six will have 10 more dates of presentations, distributed between October, November and December.
The regular schedule starts on October 2nd and runs until December 4th, always on Fridays, at Parque Ambiental.
According to the municipal secretary of Culture, Alberto Portugal, the project has an important role in strengthening local music production and in occupying public spaces.
“Friday at Six plays an important role in the appreciation of the city’s artists, while offering the public a diverse and free musical programming. It is an initiative that brings musicians closer to the community and helps to move the public spaces of Ponta Grossa”, he points out.
The 2026 edition will concentrate the presentations during the spring, a period chosen by the organization for presenting more favorable climatic conditions for the realization of outdoor activities.

Schedule may change in case of rain
As Friday at Six is held outdoors, the schedule may change depending on weather conditions.
The director of the Department of Culture of the Municipal Secretariat of Culture, Carlos Phantasma, explains that some presentations may be postponed if the weather forecast indicates risks for the public or for the artists.
“In case of rain or forecast conditions that compromise the realization of the event, some dates may be postponed and rescheduled to ensure the safety of the public and the artists,” he explains.
The organization recommends that the public follow the official Prefeitura de Ponta Grossa releases to check for possible changes in the schedule.
