Shooting attack leaves two people injured in Boqueirão neighborhood in Carambeí
Attack occurred in the early morning of this Sunday (1st), in Boqueirão neighborhood; Military Police conducted searches, but suspect was not located
Two people shot at Carambeí, in the Campos Gerais, mobilized military police teams in the early hours of Sunday (1 November). The attack took place around 00h30, in Rua Rio Negro, in the Boqueirão neighborhood. Among the victims was a man who had nine injuries caused by gunfire.
The incident came to the attention of the Military Police after a woman entered the Municipal Health Center with injuries caused by gunshots. During the service, she reported that a man had carried out several shootings against her and her boyfriend.
With the information passed on by the victim, the police went to the address indicated to verify the situation and attend to the occurrence.
Man found with nine injuries
When they arrived at the scene, the police found the woman’s boyfriend injured. According to the record of the occurrence, he had nine injuries caused by gunfire.
A team of the Mobile Emergency Service (SAMU) was triggered and provided care to the man.
At the time of registration, no information was disclosed about the updated health status of the two victims, nor details about any hospital referral.
Scientific Police Collected Materials on Site
During the attendance to the occurrence involving the two people shot in Carambeí, the victims pointed to a man as possible responsible for the shooting.
The Scientific Police were at the address and collected eight cases of .380-caliber ammunition, in addition to a projectile. The materials could help clarify the dynamics of the attack and assist in the investigation.
The collection of traces integrates the expert work aimed at analyzing the elements found at the site of the shootings.
Suspect not located
After receiving information about the possible author, military police teams conducted searches in the vicinity of the Boqueirão neighborhood, in Carambeí.
Despite the steps taken, the suspect had not been located until the closure of the incident.
The circumstances that led to the attack, the dynamics of the fire and the possible motivation will still have to be clarified by the responsible authorities.
