Shopping Plaza Campos Gerais reaches R$ 100 million in revenue, surpasses 93% occupancy rate and announces Convention Center in Ponta Grossa

The Shopping Plaza Campos Gerais, in Ponta Grossa, released the balance sheet of the first months of operation with positive results in the regional market. The enterprise achieved revenues of R$ 100 million in the first half of its activities and consolidated an occupancy rate of 93.24% of the Gross Leasable Area (ABL), which totals 27,456 square meters.
With eight months since its inauguration, the mall already has 140 operations in operation and announces a new stage of expansion: the opening of the Convention Center, scheduled for September 25. The opening of the new space will also be marked by the premiere of the international immersive exhibition Van Gogh & amp; Impressionists, an attraction never before seen in the Campos Gerais region.
Growth driven by new brands
The performance of the Plaza Campos Gerais accompanies the arrival of major national and international brands, which have expanded the mix of stores and services offered to consumers in the region.
Among the operations that have begun to integrate the enterprise are networks such as C&A, Riachuelo, Renner, Maria Filó, Luiza Barcelos and Constance, in addition to the Lindt chocolate shop and the Outback Steakhouse restaurant, which inaugurated its first unit in the Campos Gerais.
The presence of new stores, combined with the gastronomy and entertainment segment, contributed to the increase in the flow of visitors. During the first semester, the mall recorded an average monthly of approximately 300,000 people circulating through the space.
According to the administration, relationship actions and events have also helped strengthen the company’s presence in the region, including initiatives related to Operário Ferroviário Esporte Clube, such as the Estádio Germano Krüger naming rights agreement, events held in the mall and match broadcasts.
“The performance of the first months of operation demonstrates the economic potential of the Ponta Grossa and Campos Gerais. The arrival of recognized brands extends the permanence of the consumer in the enterprise and strengthens the entire commercial chain,” said the superintendent of Shopping Plaza Campos Gerais, Frederico Galvão.
New operations arrive in the second half
In the coming months, the project will expand the number of attractions and services available to the public. Among the new confirmed operations are Johnny Rockets, Divino Stove, WSport Wear and the XPlay academy.
In addition to the new brands, the main novelty will be the opening of the Convention Center, which aims to expand the Plaza’s performance to the segment of corporate, cultural and tourist events.
The Convention Center extends its regional activities
The new space will have 1,500 square meters of area and was developed with modular structure to receive different formats of events, such as fairs, business conventions, exhibitions and cultural activities.
The environment has features aimed at large assemblies, including high standing, flexible areas for adapting events and structure for loading and unloading logistics.
The proposal is to insert Ponta Grossa in the national route of business tourism, taking advantage of the strategic location of the municipality and the connection of the Campos Gerais with other regions of the Paraná.
The Convention Center will work in an integrated way with the mall, bringing together the structure of shops, food court and other services of the complex to serve visitors and participants of the events.
International exhibition marks opening
The official opening of the space will take place on September 25 with the exhibition Van Gogh & Impressionistas, which will occupy an area of 1,200 square meters.
The exhibition presents an immersive experience based on the works of great names of world art and will be held for the first time in the Campos Gerais region.
“The Convention Center represents a new moment for the Shopping Plaza Campos Gerais, expanding the enterprise beyond retail. The intention is to position Ponta Grossa as a destination for major events and cultural experiences”, highlighted the Director of Innovation and Merchandising of the Tacla Shopping Group, Gustavo Tacla.
The works of the new space are in the final phase of internal installations and finishes. The delivery is scheduled for September 24, when a presentation event will be held for entrepreneurs, authorities and representatives of the tourism sector. The opening to the public takes place the following day, together with the opening of the international exhibition.
