Sicredi brings educators together in Ponta Grossa and announces expansion of programs
Summit Educação 2026 brings educators together in Ponta Grossa. Sicredi president highlights programs and expansion plans for 2027.

The city of Ponta Grossa receives, on Friday (23), the Education Summit 2026, promoted by Sicredi Campos Gerais, Grande Curitiba, Vale do Ribeira and Força dos Ventos PR/SP. The event brings together education professionals, representatives of 17 municipalities of Paraná and São Paulo, to share experiences, present results and discuss the expansion of educational programs by 2027.
In an interview with Portal BnT, the president of the cooperative, Márcio Zwierewicz, stressed that Sicredi’s work goes far beyond offering financial products and services. According to him, education is one of the main tools used by the institution to contribute to the development of communities.
“Those who know Sicredi know us, in general, for providing banking and financial services, at a good price, with quality, with care and presence in the communities. But our work as a cooperative is beyond that. We have a purpose, which is to build together a more prosperous society,” he said.
Education is a priority for Sicredi, says President
During the interview, Zwierewicz pointed out that the cooperative maintains partnerships with city halls and municipal secretariats of Education to develop initiatives aimed at training students and strengthening the work of teachers.
Currently, three programs stand out in the educational performance of Sicredi: The Union Makes Life, Backpack Finance and School Cooperatives.
“To build a more prosperous society, the main flag that Sicredi promotes is education. We have three very strong social responsibility programs in this area, carried out in partnership with the city councils and municipal secretariats of Education,” he explained.
According to the president, the meeting also represents an opportunity to recognize the professionals responsible for putting the initiatives into practice in schools.
Three programs seek to transform education in the region
Sicredi develops actions that involve children in the early school years to adolescents who are preparing for new challenges.
The Union Makes Life program works on values related to cooperation, citizenship and the collective construction of knowledge, encouraging the active participation of students in the learning process.
Finance in the Backpack brings financial education to the school environment, contributing to children and adolescents to develop a more conscious relationship with money.
School cooperatives, in turn, encourage youth protagonism, leadership, responsibility and teamwork, using the principles of cooperativism as training tools.
“We are in full expansion with three programs. The Union Makes Life, which is already more widespread, the Finance in the Backpack, which brings financial education to the schools, and also the School Cooperative, which is for the teenager, so that we form better citizens, "said Zwierewicz.
Summit Education presents 2026 results and projects expansion for 2027
Held in the Sicredi auditorium at Ponta Grossa, the Education Summit 2026 also aims to present successful experiences developed during the year.
The program brings together teachers, managers and municipal representatives to share projects, recognize achievements and discuss the next steps of educational initiatives.
According to Márcio Zwierewicz, the intention is to maintain existing programs and expand the participation of schools and municipalities in the next year.
“We will celebrate everything that was possible to accomplish in our educational programs in 2026, bring the key cases, the key achievements, and also align the maintenance and expansion of the coverage of these programs by 2027,” he said.
How can schools and municipalities participate?
The president explained that municipalities interested in implementing the educational programs can directly seek the cooperative.
The accession depends on the articulation between the Sicredi, the prefectures and the municipal secretariats of Education. In the cities that already participate, schools interested in receiving the initiatives can express this intention to their respective secretariats.
“Sicredi comes in with pedagogical support and training, but those who make it happen are the teachers, who with great brilliance support us and help education to get better in their municipalities,” he stressed.
At the end of the interview, Zwierewicz thanked the involvement of educators and stressed that investing in the formation of new generations is fundamental for regional development.
The realization of the Education Summit 2026 reinforces the presence of cooperativism in the education sector and highlights the role of partnerships between institutions, schools and public authorities in the construction of opportunities for children and adolescents.
