State authorizes distance EJA pole in Ponta Grossa

The Secretariat of State for Education authorized the operation of a center for the education of young people and adults (EJA) at distance in Ponta Grossa. The face-to-face support unit is located at Avenida João Manoel dos Santos Ribas, 405, and may offer elementary education, phase II, and ensino médio with the knowledge recognition methodology.

The authorization is contained in Resolution No. 4.407/2026, published in the September 23 edition of the Official Gazette of Paraná. The pole functions as a decentralized unit of the Sesi CIC College, in Curitiba, an institution maintained by the Social Service of Industry (Sesi).

Authorization deadlines are different

For elementary education, phase II, the resolution establishes two-year authorization, effective from 1 January 2026 to 31 December 2027. The authorization of the ensino médio runs from January 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027.

In both levels, the offer was authorized as a pedagogical experiment with the methodology of knowledge recognition. The resolution determines that the management of the institution requests the recognition of each teaching 180 days before the end of the respective authorization period.

The document also records that the Sesi CIC College had its accreditation for distance education previously renewed, effective until March 28, 2029. This accreditation period of the institution is distinct from the authorization periods of the courses in the Ponta Grossa pole.

Registrations have not yet been reported

The official publication authorizes the operation, but it does not bring enrolment schedule, number of places, entry criteria or start date of classes at the pole. Therefore, the resolution does not allow to state that there are open registrations at this time.
