Storm Alert Continues on Tuesday in Ponta Grossa and Region
In Ponta Grossa, Simepar indicates that the maximum temperature could reach 30°C on Tuesday.
After the storm that hit part of the Campos Gerais municipalities on Monday (28), Tuesday (29) remains on alert and atmospheric instability increases significantly with the advance of a cold front on the Paraná. Simepar points out that the predominance of northwest winds favors the transport of hot air to the state, especially over the northern half, where temperatures can exceed 36°C in the Northwest. The combination of heat and the approach of the cold front favors the occurrence of isolated storms in all regions, with the possibility of heavy rain, lightning, hail and gusts of strong wind.
With a degree of severity for danger, Ponta Grossa, municipalities of the Campos Gerais region and other regions of the state, are on storm alert until the end of the day, according to the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet). With this, rain can occur between 30 and 60 mm or 50 and 100 mm / day, intense winds (60 to 100 km / h), and hailfall. There may be a risk of power cuts, crop damage, tree falls and flooding.
In Ponta Grossa, Simepar points out that the maximum temperature could reach 30°C on Tuesday. In the morning, the minimum was 16°C. Faced with the muffled weather, the amount of rain accumulated is 8 millimeters, and may vary with the proximity of instability. To anticipate what will happen on Sunday (4), election day, the forecast points to rain.
In the city of Ivaí, temperatures are also between 16°C and 30°C. There, the accumulated rainfall is 10 millimeters. And in the municipality of Arapoti, the maximum temperature reaches 30°C. The minimum score was 17°C. There is also a forecast for rain.

The instability persists throughout the early morning of Wednesday (30), with a gradual shift towards the Southeast. "Rain events tend to lose intensity gradually over the course of the morning. Rain strokes accompanied by thunderstorms are still expected in different regions of the Paraná, but more punctual and with less severity. With the advancement of the front system, the temperatures show a reduction, and the maximums should not exceed 30 °C in the state," Simepar reports.
