Storm warnings continue on Friday in Ponta Grossa and surrounding areas
Storms are expected to return and affect the state on Friday. The weekend will still be marked by unstable weather.
After a rainy Thursday and large accumulated in several cities of the Paraná as in Ponta Grossa, where it registered only in a day 101 millimeters of rain, Simepar highlights that on Friday (11), the formation of an extratropical cyclone on the coast, at the height of Rio Grande do Sul and the advance of the cold front by the South of the country contribute to the formation of severe storms. The morning was already unstable, but throughout the day follows the warning of large rain accumulates.
The National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) also follows up with warnings for storms with degree of severity for danger (orange) and great danger (red). Ponta Grossa and municipalities in the region may experience rain greater than 60 mm or greater than 100 mm, winds greater than 100 km/h and hailfall. On the other hand, local municipalities have suspended classes in municipal schools due to the severe weather. For Saturday (12) and Sunday (13), instability persists in all regions.
In Ponta Grossa, the amount of rain accumulated on Friday varies throughout the day. The forecast is more than 22 millimeters with temperatures between 16°C and 25°C. On Saturday, 30 mm are expected and on Sunday 25 mm. In addition, the temperatures in these two days should show a slight drop, being the minimum of 11 ° C and maximum ranging between 15 ° C and 20 ° C.
In the city of Piraí do Sul, the weather remains unstable throughout the weekend. The Simepar details that large accumulated are expected, being 25 millimeters for today, almost 55 mm on Saturday and 42 mm on Sunday. In relation to temperatures, they range between 16°C and 23°C on Friday and 11°C and 20°C on Saturday and Sunday.
And in the municipality of Ipiranga, the rains over the weekend can reach up to 30 millimeters in the day. Temperatures range from 10°C to 25°C.
