Strong winds cause damage in rural area of Piraí do Sul
Due to the damage, the Fundão region has its electricity supply interrupted
Strong winds recorded on Tuesday (29) wreaked havoc in rural Piraí do Sul.
The most affected region was the town of Fundão. The winds caused seven houses to be flashed, trees to fall and damage to the electricity grid. Because of the damage, the locality is with the electricity supply interrupted. Two chicken fringes were also hit.
So far, there is no record of casualties, only property damage. During the night of yesterday (29), it was not possible to check the situation on the site precisely due to the darkness and weather conditions.
On Wednesday (30), teams return to the locality to more accurately assess the extent of the damage and define the necessary measures to restore energy and care for the families affected.
