Suspect accused of shooting at commerce in Castro tries to flee by jumping walls and ends up arrested

The Civil Police of the Paraná (PCPR) arrested two men during an operation carried out on Monday afternoon (21), in Castro. The action aimed at complying with warrants for pre-trial detention and search and apprehension against a 19-year-old young man, investigated for gunfire and threats. During the carriage, police seized a .38 caliber revolver, ammunition, portions of marijuana and a precision scale.
The main investigator is suspected of shooting at the door of a commercial establishment in the municipality on August 28. According to the Civil Police, shrapnel from the projectile and the door hit people who were at the site. After the shooting, the suspect ran away.
Suspect tried to escape by jumping walls
The investigations allowed PCPR to identify the 19-year-old suspect and clarify the dynamics of the crime. According to the corporation, the young man has a history of hospitalizations during his adolescence and had already been arrested in flagrante for illegally carrying a firearm in 2026.
Before the elements gathered, the Civil Police requested the pre-trial arrest of the investigated, with the aim of avoiding the practice of new crimes and guaranteeing public order.
On the afternoon of Monday (21), the police began the diligence in the neighborhood Jardim Colonial, in Castro, where they located the suspect.
Upon noticing the presence of police teams, the young man tried to escape by jumping the walls of neighboring residences. The agents carried out the follow-up and managed to approach it and contain it still in the same neighborhood.
During the search of the residence of the investigated, the police found portions of marijuana that, according to PCPR, were prepared for commercialization. A precision scale and a cellular device were also seized.
The revolver used in the crime was found in another residence.
After the arrest of the first suspect, the civilian police followed to the residence of a second suspect, located in the village Rio Branco.
In the building, the teams located a .38 caliber revolver, pointed to by the Civil Police as the weapon used in the shooting against the commercial establishment in August.
In addition to the gun, officers seized a box containing ammunition of the same caliber.
The second man was arrested in flagrante for irregular possession of firearms and ammunition.
Two men remain at the disposal of justice
The two involved were referred to the Civil Police Station of Castro to carry out the judicial police procedures.
The 19-year-old remained in prison in compliance with the pre-trial arrest warrant and was also convicted in flagrante for drug trafficking.
The second person involved was charged in flagrante for irregular possession of firearms and ammunition. Both remain at the disposal of justice.
