Three men are arrested after firearm shot in the center of Tibagi
Upon receiving an order to stop via sound and light signals, the driver disobeyed and began fleeing at high speed through several streets in the center, advancing through priority lanes and climbing over curbs.
An action by the teams of the 26th Military Police Battalion resulted in the arrest of three men and the seizure of a firearm with a scraped number, in the early hours of Sunday (4), in the municipality of Tibagi.
The incident began when police, patrolling the central part of the city, heard a gunshot and were alerted by witnesses that occupants of a dark-colored vehicle had just fired on public roads before leaving the site.
During the search in the region, the team spotted a vehicle with compatible characteristics traveling in the opposite direction. Upon receiving orders to stop by means of sound and light signals, the driver disobeyed and began a high-speed escape through several streets of the center, advancing preferential and climbing on construction sites. The tactical follow-up extended until the moment the car stopped and the three occupants landed, being approached with the support of the ROTAM team.
Inspecting the vehicle, police found a .38 caliber silver revolver, with the numbering deleted, hidden under the fabric of the back of one of the front seats. The gun was loaded with five intact ammunition. None of those approached took ownership of the weapons and all chose to remain silent.
In the face of the flagrante, the three suspects were referred to the Civil Police Station for the judicial police measures. The gun and ammunition were properly seized, and the vehicle used in the escape was picked up at the police station courtyard.
