Three UEPG courses achieve maximum score in Enade and place university among the best in Brazil
Zootecnia, Agronomy and Nursing obtained concept 5 in the MEC exam; Zootecnia course had the best evaluation in the country among all universities

The State University of Ponta Grossa (UEPG) achieved national prominence in the National Student Performance Examination (Enade), promoted by the Ministry of Education (MEC), with three courses receiving the maximum grade (concept 5): Zootechnics, Agronomy and Nursing.
The UEPG Zootechnics course was considered the best in Brazil, among all the public and private institutions that participated in the evaluation. The result proves the excellence of the teaching offered by the university and reinforces the institution's prominence in the Brazilian higher education scenario.
In addition to the Enade, the courses also had an expressive performance in the Preliminary Course Concept (CPC), which evaluates aspects such as faculty, infrastructure and didactic-pedagogical resources. Zootechnics, for example, also conquered concept 5 in the CPC, evidencing the consistency and quality of the training offered.
The rector of UEPG, Miguel Sanches Neto, welcomed the result. “These achievements are the result of the collective work of teachers, technicians and students, who build a university committed to public education of excellence,” he said.
With a solid structure, the UEPG has updated laboratories, extension and research programs, as well as a qualified faculty. The university is thus consolidated as a reference in the training of highly qualified professionals for the market and for academic performance.
State comparisons
The UEPG is part of the network of seven state universities of the Paraná, all with well-rated courses by Enade. The UEL (London) has achieved maximum grade in nine courses, including Medicina Veterinária, Pharmacy and Nursing. The EMU (Maringá) had seven courses with concept 5, such as Medicine, Chemical Engineering and Biomedicine. Unicentro (Guarapuava) also obtained a maximum grade in three courses, even though it is one of the youngest institutions, at 35 years old. Unioeste and UENP have excelled with mechanical engineering courses and Medicina Veterinária, respectively.
With this performance, the Paraná totals 403 undergraduate courses with concept 4 or 5 in the CPC, a number that exceeds the national average. Of this total, 66 courses are from state universities, which reinforces the quality and the strategic role of public higher education in the development of the state.
In this edition, Enade evaluated 9,812 courses throughout the country, in the areas of health, engineering, agriculture and architecture. The performance of UEPG among the best in Brazil reinforces the vocation of the university to train prepared and socially committed professionals.
