Tibagi invests R$ 3.48 million in new vehicles and machines for waste collection
With the funds, two compact waste collection trucks, two dump trucks for selective collection, a loader and a hydraulic excavator, which will be used for Recicla activities, will be acquired.

The city of Tibagi approved last week the tender for the acquisition of R$ 3.48 million in new equipment that will reinforce and modernize the structure used in waste collection and management services in the municipality.
With the resources, two compactor trucks for the collection of household waste, two trunk trucks for the selective collection, a loader and a hydraulic excavator, which will be destined to the activities of the Recycling.
The project for the acquisition of the equipment was elaborated by the Municipal Planning Secretariat. The fleet renewal seeks to improve the working conditions of the teams, give more efficiency to the services and contribute to the organization of the collection schedule in the center, neighborhoods and districts.
During the signing of the approval period, the mayor Rildo Leonardi stressed that the acquisition represents an important renovation of the equipment used by the municipality. “We are approving a tender of almost R$ 3.5 million for equipment that will serve the Secretariat of Meio Ambiente and improve the garbage collection in Tibagi. There are two compactor trucks, two trunk trucks for selective collection, a loader and a hydraulic excavator that will meet the Recycling,” he said.
According to the mayor, the renewal is necessary given the conditions of the fleet currently used. “We have been suffering with very old equipment, from 20 or 30 years ago. These new equipment will give a better quality for our collection and improve the service to the population”, he added.
The secretary of Meio Ambiente, Leiri Ribeiro, also highlighted the impacts of the new structure for the professionals who act directly in the collection and for the residents. “These equipment will improve the quality of the collection of household waste and also the working conditions of drivers and collectors. The population will also benefit, because we will have a better structure to organize the collection schedule in the center, in the neighborhoods and in the districts,” he explained.
The acquisition also represents a significant renewal of the Secretariat-linked fleet of Meio Ambiente. For Leiri, the new equipment will contribute to the improvement of the services provided by the municipality. “This money for the acquisition of the equipment was very important. We are innovating the entire fleet of Meio Ambiente City Hall and Secretariat trucks to offer an ever better service.”
