Truck Driver Arrested for Driving Under Influence on BR-373 in Ponta Grossa
It was also confirmed that in 2021 there was a record of an approach by the PRF involving the same driver with a fine for the same violation.

On Thursday (8), in front of the Operational Unit of the Federal Highway Police in Ponta Grossa, a 59-year-old driver who was driving a Scania truck from Prudentópolis to Castro, was approached at kilometer 184 of BR-373.
The man performed the ethylometer test and the result pointed to alcohol concentration per liter of expired alveolar air, equivalent to approximately three times the limit established, for the setting of the crime of drunk driving. The value was 0.93 mg/l.
Before the result, the driver was given a voice of arrest for the practice of the crime provided for in article 306 of the Brazilian Transit Code (CTB).
The driver was referred to the 13th SDP for the crime of drunkenness at the wheel. The vehicle has been released for duly qualified driver.
It was also found that in the year 2021 there was an approach record carried out by PRF, involving the same driver with driving for the same infringement.
Due to the extended holiday, the PRF reinforces the importance of responsible driving and the preservation of road safety. The institution also highlights the reinforcement of surveillance actions on federal highways, with the aim of preventing traffic accidents and curbing conducts that put the lives of highway users at risk.
