TV presenter shot in the foot during bar brawl in São Paulo

TV Globo host Fred Bruno was scratched by a shot to the foot during a disturbance at a nightclub early on Monday at São Paulo. The shooting originated from a gun carried by state deputy Marcelo Aguiar (PL-SP), who was detained by the Military Police and taken to the police station. Despite the scare, the journalist is doing well and said that he was not involved in the discussion.

The episode took place at the Santo Cupido nightclub, in the Itaim Bibi region, south of the capital of São Paulo. Fred Bruno, known for presenting the Globo Esporte SP, was in the establishment when he heard the shot and felt a strong punch in the foot.

In a video posted on social media, the host confirmed what happened and reassured the followers. He reported that he felt his foot pounding and burning shortly after hearing the shot, without initially understanding what had happened.

The journalist highlighted the seriousness of the situation and said that other people could have been affected as well.

Globe Presenter Reports Moments of Tension

Fred Bruno explained that he did not participate in the confusion that preceded the shooting. According to him, it all happened suddenly while he was at the establishment.

The presenter said he heard the sound of the shot and felt a very strong impact on the foot. Although he escaped from serious injuries, he called the situation extremely serious.

After the episode, Fred decided not to present the edition of this Monday (19) of Globo Esporte SP, to take the necessary measures. José Renato Ambrósio temporarily took over the program.

The journalist also reported that he intends to return to the presentation on Tuesday (20).

MP was arrested after shooting

According to information from the incident, state deputy Marcelo Aguiar was in the nightclub when a confusion began involving attendees.

Witnesses reported that the parliamentarian showed signs of drunkenness and was disturbing others at the establishment. At one point, there was a riot, followed by the firing of a gun.

One of the versions presented to the authorities indicates that the deputy fell to the ground, causing an accidental firing of the pistol he carried. Another version points out that the parliamentarian would have pulled the gun during the discussion.

The exact circumstances of the shooting will still be investigated by the Civil Police.

Gun was seized and parliamentary released

After the incident, Marcelo Aguiar was approached by the Military Police, handcuffed and taken to the 14th Police District, in Pinheiros.

The MP was carrying a .380-caliber Glock pistol, which was seized and forwarded to forensics. According to the information released, he has federal authorization to carry a firearm.

At the station, the deputy reported that he had used medicines. He was not subjected to a drunkenness test.

After the police procedures, Aguiar was released because of the rules of parliamentary immunity. The case will continue to be investigated by the authorities.

Although Fred Bruno confirmed the impact of the shot on the foot, the Public Security Secretariat of São Paulo initially reported that there was no official record of people injured in the occurrence.
