Two people are arrested for abandoning children and a baby in Piraí do Sul

On the morning of Sunday (13), the Military Police of the was called to attend an occurrence of abandonment in the central region of Piraí do Sul. A man and a woman were arrested.

Upon arriving at the address, the team found two children, ages 7 and 4, alone in the backyard of the residence. Inside the property, police found that a newborn, only 28 days old, had also been left without the presence of the responsible.

In light of the facts and based on the reports of the children and a witness, the PM initiated diligences and located those responsible in another address in the municipality.

The man received a voice of arrest for bodily injury in the context of domestic violence and neglect of incapable. The woman was also arrested for abandonment of incapable.

The Guardian Council was set up to monitor the occurrence and adopt the necessary protective measures. The three children were under the care of a responsible family member.

Those involved were referred to the Judicial Police for the appropriate legal procedures.

The rapid action of the Military Police made it possible to locate the perpetrators and ensured the protection and safety of children.
