Accident on PR-151 in Jaguariaíva Leaves 45-Year-Old Driver Injured After Front-End Collision Between Truck and Car This Tuesday (20)
A crash on PR-151, in Jaguariaíva, in Campos Gerais, left a 45-year-old driver injured on Tuesday night. The frontal collision involved a Scania truck, a Randon semi-trailer and a GM Corsa car, at around 7:10 p.m. The victim suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital of Jaguariaíva.
According to information released by the State Highway Police (PRE), the accident involved a Scania T124 truck, with plates of Ponta Grossa, which pulled a Randon semi-trailer, also fitted on Ponta Grossa, in addition to a GM Corsa, with plates of the municipality of Ventania.
The driver of the truck, a 55-year-old man, was not injured. The driver of the Corsa, 45 years old, had injuries considered mild and needed to be referred to medical care in the hospital of Jaguariaíva.
How the accident happened on PR-151
According to the report of the State Highway Police, the truck and semi-trailer were traveling along the PR-151 in the direction of Sengés at the junction with the PR-092, when the frontal collision occurred with the GM Corsa, which was going in the opposite direction.
The accident was recorded on Tuesday night, mobilizing the assistance of the State Road Police team linked to the 5th Company of the Road Police Battalion (BPRv), through the post of Piraí do Sul.
The circumstances that led to the collision were not detailed in the bulletin released by the corporation. Possible changes in traffic during the attendance of the occurrence were also not reported.
Vehicles involved had plates of Ponta Grossa and Ventania
Although the accident occurred in Jaguariaíva, two of the vehicles involved have plates of Ponta Grossa. The Scania truck and the Randon semi-trailer were registered in the municipality, while the GM Corsa had Ventania plates.
The occurrence draws attention to the participation of vehicles from different municipalities of the Campos Gerais in a frontal collision on the state highway.
According to the information provided by the Road Police, only the driver of the car had injuries. The driver of the truck left unharmed.
Until the release of the bulletin, no new details were presented about the state of health of the driver referred to the hospital, in addition to the initial classification of minor injuries.
