When will the second round of elections take place? See the date

The candidates Flávio Bolsonaro (PL) and Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) will contest the second round of the election for President of the Republic. With this, voters return to the polls for the second round on October 25, 2026 (Sunday).

Flavio finished the count in first place, with 47.03% of the valid votes, equivalent to 56,103,033 votes. Lula came in second, with 45.16%, or 53,870,724 votes.

The presidential election is decided in the second round when no candidate gets more than half of the valid votes in the first round.

In six states and in the DF, the election for governor was for the second round, and will also be decided on October 25.
