The election of Ricardo Zampieri (PL) to state deputy is expected to provoke a change in the composition of the Câmara Municipal de Ponta Grossa in 2027. With Zampieri leaving the municipal legislature to take a seat in the Legislative Assembly of Paraná (Aleppo), Izaías Salustiano (PL), first alternate of the legend, must take the seat.
In the 2024 municipal elections, Izaías received 1,769 votes and was the first PL deputy in Ponta Grossa. Zampieri won 2,356 votes, securing one of the chairs of the Câmara Municipal.
The replacement is expected to take place after Zampieri officially leaves the office of councillor to begin the term as state deputy in the legislature beginning in 2027.
Izaías Salustiano returns to the Chamber
The eventual possession will mark the return of Izaías Salustiano to the Legislative Assembly of Ponta Grossa. He was a councilman between 2021 and 2024 and sought re-election in the 2024 municipal elections.
In the 2020 election, Izaías had won 1,745 votes, being elected councilman. Four years later, already by the PL, he slightly expanded the vote to 1,769 votes, but ended up as a substitute for the legend.
Izaías also participated in the organization of the party in the municipality. During the period leading up to the 2024 municipal elections, he held the presidency of the PL municipal directory in Ponta Grossa.
Zampieri wins 47,200 votes for state deputy
The change in the House comes after the electoral growth of Ricardo Zampieri in the race for a seat in Aleppo.
According to the final total of the 2026 Elections, Zampieri received 47,231 votes in the entire Paraná, guaranteeing one of the 54 seats of state deputy. In Ponta Grossa alone, there were 29,925 votes, placing the candidate among the most voted in the municipality for the position.
The performance represents an expressive leap in relation to the previous state election. In 2022, when he ran for the same office, Zampieri received 13,128 votes and was not elected. In 2026, therefore, there were 34,103 more votes, growth of approximately 260% in the vote.
Zampieri had also returned to Câmara Municipal in the 2024 elections, when he received 2,356 votes.
PL holds a seat in the Chamber
With the departure of Zampieri and the summons of the first substitute, the tendency is that the chair remains under the control of the Partido Liberal (PL).
Izaías is expected to remain in the municipal legislature for the remainder of the term beginning in 2025, while Zampieri will continue for his first term in the Legislative Assembly.
The inauguration of state deputies elected in 2026 is scheduled for February 2027.
