Woman and child injured in head-on collision on PR-170
Head-on collision between a Gol and a Saveiro occurred on Friday night (30). Victims were taken to UPA Batel.
An accident on PR-170 in Guarapuava left a 33-year-old woman and a 5-year-old child with minor injuries on Friday night (30). The frontal collision took place around 20:20, at kilometer 379 of the highway, near the junction with the PR-540.
According to the State Highway Police (PRE), a Volkswagen Gol and a Volkswagen Saveiro were traveling in opposite directions when the crash occurred.
The woman was driving the Gol and was accompanied by a 5-year-old boy. The two were injured and were rescued by the Mobile Emergency Service (Samu), which referred them to the Unit of Pronto Atendimento (UPA) Batel, in Guarapuava.
The driver of the Saveiro, a 19-year-old young man, suffered no injuries. Both vehicles, with Guarapuava plates, suffered material damage.
The incident was attended by the team of the 5th Company of the Road Police Battalion (BPRv). The causes of the collision have not been reported.
