Worker dies after being hit by car in Paraná; accident also left injured
A 23-year-old man was working on a road construction project when he was struck; a 25-year-old driver lost control, left the lane and rolled over; Three people were injured in the accident.
A 23-year-old worker morreu atropelado on Wednesday afternoon (1st) at PR-460, in Pitanga. According to the State Highway Police (PRE), the accident was recorded at around 14 hours, at kilometer 4 of the highway, on the stretch between Pitanga and Campo Mourão.
A Honda Civic vehicle with Guarapuava plates was heading in the direction of Pitanga to Campo Mourão, when the 25-year-old driver lost control of the steering. The vehicle came out onto the side of the highway and hit an employee of a company that provided services in the road works. Then the car rolled over.
The worker died on the spot. The body was referred to the Technical-Scientific Execution Unit (UETC) of Ivaiporã.
In the car, three other people were injured:
- Driver: 25-year-old man with serious injuries;
- Passenger: 27-year-old man with minor injuries;
Passenger: 63-year-old woman with serious injuries.
