World Betes Championship in Curitiba will have competition on November 14 and 15; find out how to participate

The Betes World Cup in Curitiba promises to bring together competitors, families and lovers of one of the most traditional games in Brazil on November 14 and 15, 2026. The competition will be held in Padre Agostinho Legros Square, in the Boqueirão neighborhood, and also has vacancies available for pairs interested in participating.

The event will have contests in three categories: male, female and mixed. In addition to the competition, the proposal is to rescue the tradition of betting, also known as bets or taco, which marked the childhood of different generations.

In an interview about the championship, Glauco, representative of the event, confirmed that there are still opportunities for new participants.

"Exactly, there is still a place in the masculine, feminine and mixed," he said.

World of Bethesda promotes a meeting of generations

More than winning a title, the World Cup seeks to provide moments of fun, integration and reunion with an activity that was part of the childhood of thousands of Brazilians.

The competition allows friends, couples and family to form pairs to play the matches. Parents and children, mothers and daughters, and even grandparents and grandchildren can take the opportunity to share the experience.

According to Glauco, this is one of the main objectives of the initiative.

"It's that family rescue. You have fun with your father, your mother or even your grandfather," he said.

The organizer also stressed that the expectation is to repeat the success of previous editions and provide a special experience to the participants.

"At the very least you will have fun, at the very most you will be world champion of Betes," he joked.

How to register for the World Cup of Bethesda 2026?

Registrations are available on the internet and must be made in pairs, by filling out an electronic form.

According to the official information of the organization, the value of the registration is R$ 150 per double, via Pix. Of the total collected with each registration, 20% will be allocated to the Pro-Renal Foundation.

The organization points out that filling out the form does not automatically guarantee participation. The confirmation depends on the data conference, the identification of the payment and the acceptance of the regulation.

Interested parties from Ponta Grossa, Campos Gerais and other regions can participate in the competition, according to the criteria established for each category.

The championship will take place in Padre Agostinho Legros Square, located at Pastor Carlos Frank Street, 2112, in the Boqueirão neighborhood, in Curitiba.

The space will receive the pairs on November 14 and 15, in an event that aims to enhance the practice of sports, family coexistence and the preservation of traditional games.
