Young man caught by GCM with 3 kg of marijuana in car in Ponta Grossa

The drug trafficking in Uvaranas ended with a 19-year-old young man arrested on Tuesday night in Ponta Grossa, after an approach carried out by the Special Operations Group (GOE) of the Municipal Civil Guard (GCM). In the vehicle driven by the suspect, the agents located about three kilograms of marijuana-like substance, in addition to cocaine-like material.

According to information from the Municipal Civil Guard, the incident was recorded around 11 pm, during patrol carried out by a GOE team in the Uvaranas neighborhood region.

During the action, officers boarded a vehicle that was driven by the young man. Then, an inspection was carried out on the car.

About 3 kg of marijuana were seized

According to the GCM report, the agents found tablets of marijuana-like substance inside the vehicle. The seized material totaled approximately three kilograms.

In addition to the tablets, an unspecified amount of substance with cocaine-like characteristics was also located.

The team also seized money and a cell phone that was in the vehicle. The Municipal Guard did not inform in the published bulletin the value found nor the exact amount of the substance similar to cocaine.

The incident was treated as suspected of drug trafficking.

Young man was referred to the 13th SDP

According to GCM, the boy was informed of his constitutional rights during the approach and chose to remain silent.

In front of the material located, the agents gave the 19-year-old a voice of arrest. He was taken, along with the substances, the money, the cell phone and the other objects seized, to the 13th Police Subdivision (13th SDP) of Ponta Grossa.

The case was under the responsibility of the police authority for the adoption of the appropriate measures and continuity of the procedures related to the occurrence.

The action took place in the region of Uvaranas, one of the largest neighborhoods of Ponta Grossa. The amount seized and other materials will be considered during the investigation.

The official confirmation of the nature and final weight of the seized substances depends on the expert procedures. To date, no other information has been disclosed about the origin of the material or possible participation of others in the case.
