A man is arrested for abusing and keeping in private custody ex-partner in Irati

At around 11:45 a.m. on Sunday (20), the PM team was called to the UPA to attend a domestic violence victim in Irati. The woman, who already had an emergency protective measure against her ex-husband, said she had responded to a message from the ex-husband and met him around midnight.

According to the report, during the meeting inside a vehicle VW Gol, there was an argument and the man started to attack her with kicks and punches, causing apparent hematoma in one of the eyes. Then he took her to the residence where she lives with her mother and, inside the property, attacked her again, leaving her locked in one of the rooms.

The victim was able to ask a friend for help via a message app. The friend went to the scene, but was also assaulted by the author and had to leave the residence.

According to the Military Police report, the author used the car to take the victim to a hotel in the central area. In the bedroom, he assaulted her again and forced her to call her sister to tell her that everything was fine. When he tried to escape, the victim was stopped and strangled with his hands, leaving marks on his neck.

The author stayed at the hotel while his mother went to the scene in an app car to pick up the victim and take her back to his family’s residence. At around 11 a.m., the victim was able to leave the scene in a vehicle by application requested by the author's mother, returned to her home and activated the PM, then moved to the UPA accompanied by her father, where she was attended.

In possession of the information, the team conducted patrols and located the suspect driving the Gol in the Lagoa neighborhood. In the personal search and vehicular nothing illicit was found, but when consulting the vehicle documentation, it was found debit in the licensing and change of characteristic - lowered suspension. The car was picked up at the courtyard for regularization.

The man was given a voice of arrest for domestic violence, non-compliance with protective measures and private imprisonment, and the report of bodily injuries was filed in both. Asked, the man claimed that his ex-wife came to him in the early morning with another woman and that both of them would have entered into fact. He denied having had physical contact with the victim and having gone to any hotel with her.

The parties were referred to the Irati Police Station and presented to the competent police authority.
