Banco Brasi restored the operation of its digital channels early Tuesday afternoon, after an instability that made it difficult for customers to access the app and the financial institution’s website during the morning.

The problem has sparked thousands of complaints on social media and digital service monitoring platforms. Users reported difficulties in accessing accounts, consulting information, and using features available in the app.

In a statement sent to Agência Brasil, the bank confirmed that the situation had been resolved and that the services had returned to normal operation.

“Digital channels are already operating normally and all services are available to customers,” the institution said.

Failure to prevent customers from accessing accounts

The first reports of instability began appearing around 8 a.m. on Tuesday. Among the problems mentioned by users were the impossibility of login and difficulties in accessing the banking environment even after correctly informing the identification data.

In certain situations, the application even presented the option to log in to the account, preventing customers from using the digital services.

The Bank of Brazil acknowledged the occurrence, but clarified that the transactions made with cards were not affected during the period of instability.

More than 6,000 complaints have been filed

According to information from Downdetector, a platform specialized in tracking failures in digital services, notifications about problems at the Bank of Brazil began to grow in the early hours of the morning.

The largest volume of complaints was recorded around 9:40 a.m., when the platform counted more than 6,100 notifications from users.

The number represents the reports received by the monitoring service and not necessarily the total number of customers affected by the failure.

Despite the repercussions, the Bank of Brazil reported that access was normalized in the early afternoon. The institution did not elaborate on the causes of the instability.

With the re-establishment of the systems, customers can use digital channels again to check balances, make transfers, make payments and access other banking services. (The information is from Agência Brasil)
