The holiday is expected to increase movement on the Paraná highways, with a forecast of 381,000 vehicles circulating through the sections managed by the Paraná Motivation between this Thursday (29) and Monday (2 November). The estimate represents a 29% increase over ordinary days and serves as a warning to drivers of Ponta Grossa and Campos Gerais who intend to travel during the holidays.

Among the points that deserve attention is the BR-376, an important road connection used by drivers that circulate between Ponta Grossa, other cities of Paraná and the interior of the state. In the Mauá da Serra region, the highway has one of the electronic toll gates administered by the concessionaire.

To meet the demand, Motiva Paraná prepared a special operation with reinforcement of the service, inspection and mechanical rescue teams.

See the busiest times on the highways

According to the dealership, the periods with the highest concentration of vehicles should occur mainly at the departure for the holiday and at the return of travelers.

Friday (30): from 12h to 18h.

Saturday (31): from 8am to 11am.

Monday (2): from 11 am to 7 pm.

The recommendation is that drivers organize their trips in advance and, when possible, avoid these intervals.

The forecasts refer to the set of highways administered by Motiva Paraná and do not represent an exclusive estimate for Ponta Grossa.

Special operation will have reinforcement on the roads

During the holiday, the dealership will have 46 operational and pre-hospital care vehicles, in addition to seven extra resources for inspection, removal of vehicles and light and heavy winch services.

The 13 bases of the User Service (SAU) will operate 24 hours a day, offering bathrooms, nappies, support spaces and service totems.

The structure will be available to provide assistance in emergency situations, mechanical problems and other occurrences recorded on the highways under concession.

Rain requires increased care of drivers

The possibility of rain during the period also worries the teams that work on the highways. With wet lanes, visibility can decrease and the distance needed to brake increases.

The reason Paraná recommends keeping the headlights on, checking the condition of the windshield wiper blades, and slowing down when necessary.

Another important guideline is to keep a safe distance from the vehicle in front and avoid sudden braking, especially in corners and places with large truck traffic.

Electronic toll on BR-376: know how to pay

Those who pass through the electronic toll gates administered by Motiva Paraná should be aware of the payment methods.

The equipment is located at kilometer 292 of BR-376, in Mauá da Serra, and kilometer 2 of PR-445, in Tamarana.

The rate reported by the dealership is R$ 10,80, with exemption for motorcycles.

Drivers without a tag can check and pay for tickets through the website Pedágio Digital, using the license plate of the vehicle. The payment can also be made at the 13 service stations of the dealership, by PIX or card.

For those who have an electronic tag, the amount is automatically debited from the account linked to the device.

Educational campaigns and 24-hour service

In addition to the operational reinforcement, the concessionaire will carry out ten educational actions in partnership with the Federal Road Police (PRF) and the Road Police Battalion (BPRv).

The activities will address the importance of the use of seat belts, the risks of the combination of alcohol and driving and the need for preventive maintenance of vehicles, especially of truck brake systems.

For information on accidents, track conditions and possible interventions during the holiday, drivers can access the Motiva Paraná website or contact by phone and WhatsApp 0800-376-0000.
