Arapoti is the 2nd largest honey producer in Brazil and 1st in PR; Ortigueira also stands out
The municipality of Arapoti produced 1,125 tons of honey and stands out as a national reference in beekeeping

The municipality of Arapoti reached the 1st place in the Paraná and consolidated itself as the 2nd largest producer of honey in Brazil, with 1,125 tons produced. The data is from the Municipal Livestock Survey (PPM) 2025, published by IBGE, and was celebrated by Prefeitura Municipal.
In Brazil, honey production reached 71.3 thousand tons in 2025. According to the City of Arapoti, the achievement is the result of the work, dedication and commitment of hundreds of families who find in beekeeping an important economic activity, generating income and development for the municipality.
In the social networks, the city highlighted "we congratulate all the beekeepers and their families for contributing to the strengthening of rural production and for the recognition of Arapoti as a reference in the production of honey".
On the other hand, the municipality of Ortigueira was also highlighted, conquering the 5th place in Brazil, with the production of 844 tons.

1o Santa Luzia do Paruá (MA): 1.358.416 kg
2nd Arapoti: 1.125.318 kg
3rd Good Hope of the South (SP): 1,000,000 kg
4o São Raimundo Nonato (PI): 897.914 kg
5th Ortigueira: 844.000 kg
