Asilo São Vicente de Paulo celebrates 100 years with party and special programming in PG

Paul’s Asylum São Vicente, in Ponta Grossa, is completing 100 years of foundation in 2026. To celebrate the centenary, the institution prepared a special program between September 23 and 27, bringing together religious celebrations, musical presentations, food trucks fair and commemorative activities. Part of the attractions will be held in Rua Júlio de Castilhos, in front of the institution, with free entry.
Founded in 1926, Paul’s Asylum São Vicente is a Long Stay Institution for the Elderly (ILPI) that currently serves 108 elderly people. Over a century, the entity has built its trajectory dedicated to welcoming and caring for the elderly population of Ponta Grossa.
The centennial celebrations have as theme the 100 years of faith, care and charity, highlighting the history of the institution and its performance in the community.
Religious celebrations mark the centenary
The program of the Jubilee began on Wednesday (23), with the Jubilee Triduum, held in the chapel of the institution.
This Thursday (24), the celebration takes place at 9:30 am, with the participation of the deacon Sidival, of the Parish Nossa Senhora of Fatima.
On Friday (25), also at 9:30 a.m., Deacon Josoel of the Parish São João Paulo II, conducts the last celebration of the triduum.
Also on Friday, at 7:30 pm, the ceremony commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Asilo São Vicente of Paulo will be held, in the social hall of the institution.
Then, from 8:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., the official opening of the Jubilee celebrations takes place in Rua Júlio de Castilhos, in front of the asylum.
Food trucks fair and free weekend shows
On Saturday (26), the program will be open to the community with a food trucks and services fair, held from 10 am to 10 pm, in Rua Júlio de Castilhos, in front of the institution.
The fair will feature live musical performances. The Band Toques e Emoções takes to the stage from 4 pm to 6 pm. The Eletron Duo performs from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
On Sunday (27), the fair continues from 10 am to 6 pm, also with free entry.
The musical program on Sunday begins at 2 pm, with a presentation by Allan Lutti, which continues until 4 pm. From 4pm to 6pm, the audience will be able to follow the show of Kaadu Cowboy.
Mass, festive lunch and bingo close the program
In addition to the external activities, Sunday will have a special programming within the institution.
At 10 am, a Santa Missa will be celebrated in the chapel of the Asilo São Vicente of Paulo.
At noon, the festive lunch takes place in the social hall of the institution. The program also includes a binguinho, from 14h to 17h, in the same place.
The activities are part of the celebrations of the centenary of the entity, which reaches the 100th anniversary of foundation serving 108 elderly people in Ponta Grossa.
