Choque K9 seizes 73 kg of marijuana in operation in Boa Vista neighborhood, in Ponta Grossa

A marijuana seizure ended with 73.92 kg of drug located during a equipe Choque K9 action, with support from the Regional Intelligence Agency and the RPA team, in the Boa Vista neighborhood, in Ponta Grossa. The narcotic was found after police dog Bolt indicated the presence of the substance hidden in an area of vegetation.

According to the information passed on by the teams involved in the incident, the police carried out diligences in the region after intelligence surveys. During the search, the Bolt beacon dog presented positive indications for the presence of illicit material, leading the agents to the point where the drug was hidden.

At the scene, police found several tablets of marijuana-like substance packaged inside two cardboard boxes. In all, 73.92 kilos of the narcotic were seized.

The action counted on the integrated action between different teams of the Military Police, uniting information of the police intelligence, the operational work of the RPA and the specialized use of the light dog.

The use of police dogs plays an important role in occurrences involving the location of drugs, weapons and other illicit materials. The identification ability by the lighthouse assists teams during searches in places of difficult access, such as areas of vegetation and terrain.

The incident reinforces the work carried out by the security forces in the fight against drug trafficking in Ponta Grossa and the region. The integration between specialized teams allows to broaden the identification of points used to hide narcotics and contributes to actions of repression of crime.

After the location, the drug seized was sent to the 4th Regional Flagrante Central, where the measures provided for the registration of the occurrence and other legal procedures were adopted.
