Civil Police investigates accident that killed three people on BR-277 in Fernandes Pinheiro
Accident on BR-277 in Fernandes Pinheiro leaves three dead. Civil Police investigate the causes of the head-on collision between a car and a truck.
The Civil Police of the Paraná (PCPR) has started the investigation of the accident on BR-277, in Fernandes Pinheiro, in Campos Gerais, which resulted in the death of three people in the early hours of Tuesday (22). The frontal collision involved a Honda HR-V car and a Scania P320 truck.
According to preliminary information released by the Teixeira Soares Police Station, the accident occurred around 1:05 am, when the Honda HR-V, driven by Daniele Borges de Souza Lima, 41, lost control of the steering and invaded the opposite track, colliding frontally with the truck that was traveling in the opposite direction.
The three occupants of the car could not resist the injuries and died at the scene.
Victims of the accident have been identified
The three people who died in the collision were identified by authorities. These are:
Amanda Marcondes de Oliveira, 26;
Demetrio Moreno, 38;
Daniele Borges de Souza Lima, 41, driver of the vehicle.
The Federal Road Police (PRF) was responsible for the initial attention of the occurrence and called on the Civil Police for the investigation procedures.
The PCPR requested the deployment of the Scientific Police of the Paraná, which carried out the examination of the site of the accident and arranged the removal of the bodies for the necropsy procedures.
Police are waiting for reports to clarify the causes of the accident
The Teixeira Soares Police Station is conducting investigations to clarify the circumstances of the collision.
According to the Civil Police, the investigators are awaiting the conclusion of the Expert Report on Traffic Accidents, which will be prepared by the PRF, in addition to the reports of the Scientific Police of the Paraná.
The documents will be used to establish more precisely the dynamics of the accident and identify the factors that contributed to the collision.
So far, the information that the car had lost control of the steering and invaded the opposite lane is preliminary. The causes of the accident still depend on the completion of the expert work.
In a note, the Civil Police of Paraná expressed solidarity with the families and friends of the three victims and informed that new information could be disclosed as the investigations progress.
