Clinicão disputes Geraldo Stocco's statements about alleged animal abandonment in Ponta Grossa
Clinicão disputes Geraldo Stocco's accusation regarding dog abandonment in Ponta Grossa and presents the animal's treatment history and return.

The Clinician Clínica Veterinária Popular released an official note challenging the statements of the councilman Geraldo Stocco about an alleged abandonment of a dog in Ponta Grossa. The parliamentarian published images of the return of the animal in public and questioned the conduct of the company. However, according to Clinicão, the video does not present the complete history of care, which included rescue, veterinary care, castration and microchipping.
The company's demonstration raises questions about the information verified by the councilor before making the prosecution public. According to the Clinician, the dog received the necessary care for recovery and, after discharge from the vet, was returned to the same address where he had been collected.
The BnT Portal sought Geraldo Stocco to clarify what information underpinned their statements, whether there was previous contact with the company and how the images came to their knowledge. Until the closure of this report, the councilman had not answered the questions.
Understand the history of care
According to the official note of the Clinic, the case began on July 28, 2026, when a resident requested the rescue of a male dog that, according to his report, had been run over in Rua João Szesz, in Ponta Grossa.
At the time, the applicant reported that the animal did not have an identified guardian. The team carried out the collection at the address indicated by the citizen himself, initiating the necessary veterinary procedures.
According to the company, the dog remained under professional care during his recovery, receiving veterinary treatment, in addition to undergoing castration and microchipping.
The Clinic maintains that all the steps of the care have been documented and that it has records that allow verifying both the place of collection and the place of return.
The dog was returned to the same address
One of the main arguments presented by Clinicão is that the animal was not left in a random location, but returned exactly to the address given by the citizen who requested the rescue.
According to the official note, the return occurred on October 28, 2026, after the veterinary discharge, in the same place where the dog had been collected.
The company states that it uses geolocation records in the attendance, allowing to identify the places of origin of the animals and ensure the traceability of the procedures performed.
The Clinicão also maintains that the return followed the CED Protocol (Capture, Sterilization and Return), which, according to the official statement, is expressly provided for in the contract signed with the Municipality of Ponta Grossa.
The procedure is presented by the company as a strategy for the management of community animals or without an identified guardian, allowing the return to the territory of origin when the technical, sanitary and animal welfare criteria are met.
The application of the protocol, however, must take into account the specific conditions of each animal and the requirements applicable to the procedure.
Clinician rebuffs accusation made by councilman
In the official demonstration, the Clinician directly disputes the way the episode was presented by Geraldo Stocco.
According to the company, the images released by the MP show the time of return, but do not show the history of care or the care given to the dog while it was under the responsibility of the clinic.
The Clinician also states that she was not sought by the councilor before the disclosure of the charges.
This statement puts an important question at the center of the controversy: Did Stocco seek clarification about attendance before publicly presenting the episode as abandonment?
The version presented by the company brings elements that need to be considered in the counting. According to Clinicão, the dog was collected after a run-in, received veterinary care and was returned to the home address based on a contractually provided procedure.
This does not mean, by itself, that all the requirements have been met. The regularity of the return depends on the analysis of the records, the conditions of the animal and the technical criteria adopted.
In the same way, the images of the return, in isolation, are not enough to prove that there was abandonment.
Geraldo Stocco was searched for but did not respond
To ensure space for the contradictory, the BnT Portal sent official questions to the councilor Geraldo Stocco, requesting clarification on the statements made in the video.
The report asked if the parliamentarian had sought the Clinic before publishing the material, if he had knowledge of the veterinary procedures performed and if the rules applicable to the return of animals to the territory of origin were verified.
Another question concerns the origin of the images disclosed. The BnT asked if the content was forwarded by the same citizen who requested the rescue or if it reached the councilor by other means.
By the time the report was closed, Geraldo Stocco had not answered the questions referred by the BnT Portal.
The absence of demonstration leaves unclear what information was verified by the parliamentary before the disclosure of the complaint.
The space remains open for the councilor to present his version, clarify the origin of the images and indicate the elements that grounded his statements.
The company claims to have documents from the service
The Clinician reported that it maintains records of the call, veterinary care, geolocation and return of the dog.
According to the official note, this documentation is available for submission to the competent authorities, allowing the verification of the procedures carried out.
The company also acknowledged the legitimacy of public service oversight, but stressed that charges of this nature require accountability and fact-finding, especially in the face of possible impacts on the reputation of companies and professionals.
The case highlights the importance of distinguishing a return carried out within an animal management procedure from a possible situation of abandonment, whose characterization requires analysis of the circumstances and applicable norms.
Supervising contracts and public services is a legitimate attribution of the councillor. However, complaints that directly affect the image of companies and professionals must be based on verifiable information.
While the Clinical presents its version publicly and claims to have documentation on care, Geraldo Stocco’s positioning on the questions asked by the report remains pending.
The BnT Portal will continue to monitor the case, keeping space open for further demonstrations and clarifications.
