Collision between a Toyota Bandeirante and a motorcycle left one person dead and three others injured on Saturday night (31)
An accident on PR-456 in West Santa Maria in the central region of Paraná ended with the death of a 52-year-old motorcyclist and left three other people injured on Saturday night. The collision involved a Toyota Bandeirante and a Honda NXR 160 motorcycle, at around 7:40 p.m., at km 38.8 of the highway, on the stretch between West Santa Maria and Palmital.
According to the information of the attendance of the occurrence, the vehicles went in opposite directions when they engaged in a cross-over collision.
The driver of the motorcycle, a 52-year-old man, could not resist the injuries and died at the scene. The passenger of the motorcycle, a 53-year-old woman, suffered moderate injuries.
In the Toyota Bandeirante were a 71-year-old man driving the vehicle, and a 62-year-old woman. Both had minor injuries.
Three people were injured in the accident.
The three wounded victims received care and were referred to medical care in Santa Maria of the West.
The Honda NXR 160 motorcycle had Nova Cantu plates, while the Toyota Bandeirante was plated in the Santa Maria of the West.
According to the report of the occurrence, the collision occurred in the stretch that connects the municipalities of Santa Maria do Oeste and Palmital. The exact dynamics of the accident should be clarified by the expert work.
Site was isolated for forensics
After the fatal accident in PR-456, the section of the highway was isolated to allow the work of the bodies responsible for expertise and procedures related to the occurrence.
During the consultation of the documentation of the vehicles, a pending licensing of the motorcycle was identified, regularized on the spot by the owner's son, according to the registration of the care.
After carrying out the expert work, the vehicles were released to those responsible.
To date, no information has been released on the identity of the motorcyclist who died, nor updated details on the health status of the other three people involved.
