Dogs found in weak and extremely thin condition in Ivaí
According to the report, approximately seven dogs would be tied up with ropes and chains
On Wednesday (23), the Military Police team was called in to investigate a report of possible animal abuse in the town of São Roque, in Ivaí.
According to the complaint, several dogs were kept tied by ropes and chains, in an apparent state of extreme thinness, without adequate food, water or shelter.
At the indicated address, the team found in a residence the presence of approximately seven dogs in evident state of weakness and extreme thinness, with apparent bones, no availability of water, food and no shelter or shelter for protection. At the time of the investigation, there were no residents or officials at the scene.
A neighbor was contacted and reported that the animals belong to his nephew, owner of the residence, who works in the municipality of Ivaí and usually returns only at night.
Diligences were carried out in the immediate vicinity to locate the person responsible, but without success. In view of the situation, the information was passed on to the responsible municipal service - Canil Municipal - for the adoption of measures regarding the care and possible collection of animals.
The fact was recorded in a report for documentation and to subsidize the appropriate measures.
