Pardal app allows reporting of irregular election propaganda for Elections 2026; over 51 thousand records have already been counted in the country.
On the eve of the first round of the 2026 Elections, scheduled for this Sunday (4), the aplicativo Pardal remains available for voters to report possible irregularities related to electoral propaganda. The tool is freely available from the Superior Electoral Court (TSE).
A balance sheet released on September 28 showed 51,395 complaints registered since the beginning of the electoral campaign. The data represents notifications forwarded by the system and does not, by itself, mean that all the situations reported have been confirmed as irregular by Justiça Eleitoral.
Among the occurrences accounted for in that survey, 43.78% were related to irregular or out-of-standard advertising on public roads. Another 11.94% involved advertising on private property.
How aplicativo Pardal works
The mobile sparrow has been available since August 16, the start date of the electoral propaganda of the 2026 elections.
In order to use the application, the person must be identified through the e-Title or the Gov.br platform. According to the regulations of TSE, the identity of the complainant remains confidential.
When registering a complaint, it is necessary to provide a description of the possible irregularity.
The system also allows attaching elements that help in the analysis, such as photographs, videos, audios or electronic addresses related to the reported fact. After registration, a protocol number is generated to monitor the occurrence.
What kind of situation can be reported in the Bird
For the 2026 elections, the Sparrow is mainly intended to refer complaints about irregularities in electoral propaganda to the Regional Electoral Courts.
When the situation reported does not fall within the competence of the application, the system itself can direct the user to other official channels.
Cases related to electoral disinformation can be referred to the Electoral Disinformation Alert System (SIADE). Reports relating to electoral crimes and other illicit acts can be directed to the channels of the Electoral Public Prosecutor’s Office.
Advertising on radio and TV is over
The free election propaganda on radio and television for the first round ended on Thursday (1st).
The deadline for holding rallies and, as a rule, for debates on radio and television ended on the 1st — in the latter case, the programming could extend until 7am this Friday (2).
The electoral calendar also allows for other campaign activities within the deadlines and conditions defined by Justiça Eleitoral.
