False train collision mobilizes security teams in Ponta Grossa

An occurrence of a possible train run-over mobilized the Fire Department in Ponta Grossa, near the Golden Lagoon viaduct. Despite the severity of the initial call, the teams found that no railway accident had occurred. A man was found lying on the tracks, showing signs of drunkenness, but no injuries.

Firefighters were fired after a person was reportedly run over by a railroad compound in the region. Faced with the possibility of an accident involving a train, the rescue team moved to the indicated address to verify the situation and provide care to the victim.

However, upon arriving at the scene, the rescuers found the man fallen on the railway line, without presenting apparent injuries. During the initial evaluation, it was found that it was ethylated.

Firefighters rule out train crashes

The situation initially reported to emergency teams has not been confirmed. According to the information found at the scene, the man had not been hit by a train and had no injuries resulting from a run-in.

It was also clarified that the victim did not suffer a fall from the viaduct. The man was fallen directly on the rails, in the vicinity of the railway structure.

Despite the triggering for a potentially serious occurrence, the firefighters’ assessment ruled out both the hit and a possible drop in height.

The call mobilized the SAMU Fire Department and crews to the Golden Lagoon region, in Ponta Grossa, where the presence of a man fallen on the tracks prompted the initial suspicion of a railway accident.

The occurrence reinforces the importance of keeping distance from railway lines, especially in situations that may compromise the ability to react to the approach of a composition.
