The Parish São João Paulo II, in Ponta Grossa, begins this Friday (16) the festive program in honor of the patron saint. The activities continue until Sunday (18), with musical presentations, religious celebration, carriage, lunch and attractions aimed at the families of the community.
The party takes place amidst the novenary of São João Paulo II, which began on Tuesday (13) and runs until October 21. During the period, Masses are held daily, at 7:30 p.m., in preparation for the main celebration of the patron saint.
Programming begins with music
On Friday (16), the program will feature a presentation of the Ministry at the Edge of the Well, bringing together the faithful for a night of music and fraternization.
On Saturday (17), the attraction will be the duo Alexandre and Maick, continuing the festivities promoted by the parish.
In addition to the religious character, the program seeks to strengthen the coexistence between the families and communities that are part of the trajectory of the Parish São João Paulo II.

On Sunday (18), the activities begin at 8am, with the celebration of the Santa Missa.
Soon after, at 9:30, a carriage will be held through the parish territory. The initiative aims to bring the homage to São João Paulo II to the streets and bring the different communities connected to the parish closer together.
From 11:30 am, a festive lunch will be served. The kit will be marketed for R$ 70.
During the afternoon, the program continues from 2 pm, with the sale of cakes, hot dogs, cakes and soft drinks.
Parish completes four years
Religious activities follow after the weekend. The novenary continues until Wednesday (21), always with Masses at 19:30.
On Thursday, October 22, Mass will be celebrated in honor of São João Paulo II. The date will also mark the four years of creation of the parish.
The celebration will be a moment of thanks for the trajectory built since the creation of the parish community and of renewal of the bonds between the faithful who participate in the religious, pastoral and social activities of the parish.
Over the next few days, the Festival of São João Paulo II seeks to bring together faith, coexistence and community participation, celebrating the patron saint and the history built by the faithful in Ponta Grossa.
