First edition of Castro's Gastronomic Festival ends this Sunday (13)
First edition brings together ten establishments and reaches its final days with positive evaluation from entrepreneurs and public authorities.

The Castro Gastronomic Festival is in the last days of its implementation and marks the success of the first edition, as commented by the participating entrepreneurs. Conducted by Prefeitura Municipal de Castro, Abrasel Campos Gerais and Municipal Council of Tourism of Castro, the event is taking place since August 14, gathers ten establishments and ends on September 13.
Among the positive effects of the event is the significant increase in movement. “(...) I was surprised by the acceptance of the customers and the demand for the participating dish. In my case, because it is a dish with a different name, it ended up generating an extra curiosity in people and as a result a lot of praise for the explosion of flavor that the dish delivers”, comments Khalil Imad Safaoui, owner of Jaffar Sushi.
Khalil highlights the enthusiasm of the participants of the event and the surprise of the consumers with the possibility of winning a consumer voucher of R $ 200. “This creates customer turnover in all the restaurants that adhered to the idea, adding result for everyone,” he concludes.
“The Gastronomic Festival shows the strength of our city and the potential we have to attract visitors. We are very happy with the result of this first edition and already working so that the festival is part of the calendar of events of Castro and grows in the coming years”, comments the municipal secretary of Government of Castro, Ricardo Cardoso Filho.
Lucas Klas, president of Abrasel Campos Gerais, also celebrates. “For us, it is very important to see the establishments participating, welcoming new customers and presenting their dishes to the public. The festival strengthens the business, values the gastronomy and shows the potential of Castro”, he comments.
Gastronomic Passport
In the first edition of the event, those who visit the participating establishments receive their gastronomic passport and each visit receives a stamp. Completing five visits, the consumer can earn a consumer voucher of R $ 200 to use from September 14.
