The federal deputy Aliel Machado (PV-PR) had an important participation in discussions and votes on projects in the Chamber of Deputies in 2026. Leader of the Partido Verde and deputy leader of the Federal Government in the House of Laws, the parliamentary voted in favor of the end of the 6x1 scale and changes in the rules of the Individual Microentrepreneurs (IEMs), two measures aimed at workers and entrepreneurs.

In addition, Aliel's mandate also gained prominence as rapporteur of the Bill (PL) 4.675/2025 - Law on Defense of Competition - which proposes rules for competition in digital markets and is among the guidelines under discussion in Congresso Nacional. The proposal is currently one of the most important in Brazil - the federal deputy had meetings with national and international leaders on the PL.

End of the 6x1 scale and changes for the MEIs

The enactment of the constitutional amendment that ends with the 6x1 scale establishes two days of paid rest per week, without wage reduction, and the gradual reduction of the maximum working day from 44 to 40 hours per week. The transition begins with the journey of up to 42 hours, moving to 40 hours after 14 months of promulgation. Aliel voted in favour of the proposal and stressed the importance of the project.

“Experiences in other countries have shown that a more balanced journey can, yes, improve the economy. With the enactment of the constitutional amendment, workers will have more dignity and health. It is respect for millions of Brazilians. Those who work also need time to live, rest and be with the family,” said Aliel Machado.

Another measure approved with the work of Aliel’s mandate and made into law is the updating of the rules of the MEIs. The annual turnover limit goes from R$ 81 thousand to R$ 110 thousand in 2027 and R$ 140 thousand in 2028. The legislation also provides for the remission of debts with the Union and expands the possibility of hiring officials, according to legal criteria.

“We talk about millions of Brazilians who get up early, struggle to maintain their own business and still generate opportunities. “Increasing the billing limit, allowing the hiring of another employee and alleviating debts are important measures for those who need conditions to grow and continue to undertake,” the MP said on the Federal Government’s proposal.

Economic regulation of Big Techs

Aliel is also rapporteur of Bill 4.675/2025, which proposes rules for the performance of large technology companies in digital markets. The proposal seeks to strengthen the defense of economic competition, establish obligations for companies with systemic relevance and create a specific structure in the Administrative Council of Economic Defense (CADE) to accompany the sector.

The mandate of the parliamentarian works so that the matter, one of the most important in the Congresso Nacional, advances even this year. According to Aliel Machado, the discussion seeks to ensure conditions for companies of different sizes to compete and innovate, without hindering the development of the digital economy. In addition, strengthening the sovereignty of Brazilians in the economic market.

> “The aim is not to restrict the performance of companies or create obstacles to innovation. Large corporations are fundamental to the development of the digital economy. What we seek is to ensure what determines our Constituição Federal and to ensure that the competitive environment remains open, allowing new entrepreneurs to innovate, compete and grow, always for the benefit of consumers.”

New PV bench and priorities for end of year

As leader of Partido Verde in the Chamber, Aliel recently met with the new bench of the legend to discuss projects aimed at the development of Brazil and organize the priorities for the coming months. The PV has expanded its representation and works with the expectation of reaching ten federal deputies at the beginning of the next legislature, considering the summoning of alternates.

In the final straight of the year, the parliamentarian intends to discuss with the leaders of the House the guidelines that may advance, including the economic regulation of the Big Techs. “Our work needs to translate into results. Whether in defending workers, in supporting those who undertake or in guaranteeing opportunities for all. The commitment is to continue seeking solutions and working to improve people’s lives,” he concluded.
