Gastronomy and tourism put Paraná in the spotlight at ABAV Expo 2026
The state presented typical cuisine, accommodation options and tourist routes that include the coast, Campos Gerais, Norte Pioneiro and other regions.

The Paraná at ABAV Expo 2026 ends on Friday (2) its participation in the event held at the Expo Center Norte, in São Paulo, presenting to the national tourism market a combination of gastronomy, accommodation and destinations spread throughout different regions of the State.
The participation of Paraná sought to show that the tourist offer goes beyond Curitiba and Foz do Iguaçu, two of the best-known destinations in the State. Among the itineraries presented were alternatives involving the coast, the Campos Gerais, the Pioneer North and municipalities with activity in segments such as ecotourism and turismo religioso.
At the booth of Destino Paraná/Viaje Paraná, the gastronomy gained special space during the fair.
Flavors of Paraná draw attention
Visitors were able to know preparations associated with Paraná cuisine, such as Carne de Onça, Entrevero de Pinhão and barreado.
Also participating were producers and brands linked to the state gastronomy, such as the artisanal brewery Güesser, the cheese factory Sapori Italiani and the liqueurs and cachaças of Ital Minerva.
According to the Director of Promotion and Innovation of the Tourism Secretariat of Paraná, Sandra Negrini, the presence at ABAV is an opportunity to present the diversity of the State. “This moment at ABAV is very important, it’s time to show that the Paraná has this greatness, including our cuisine,” he said.
She also highlighted the interest of visitors in the Carne de Onça and the Entrevero de Pinhão.
Hotels present products to travel agents
The hosting segment was also represented. Participated in the fair the Morro dos Anjos, of Bandeirantes; Aguativa Golf Resort, of Cornélio Procópio; Bristol Hotels & amp; Resorts; and Mabu Hotels.
The participation brings together the enterprises of travel agents, operators and other professionals responsible for the marketing of tourist packages.
Campos Gerais appear among promoted destinations
Among the strategies highlighted by the Ministry of Tourism is the so-called Curitiba Expanded, a proposal that connects the capital to other destinations, including the coast and the Campos Gerais.
Also presented were the ecotourism of Prudentópolis and the waterfalls of the region of Terra dos Pinheirais, the route of the North Pioneer coffee and destinations linked to the turismo religioso.
Sandra Negrini said during the fair that the Paraná is experiencing a period of growth in the tourism sector and cited IBGE data as a reference to assess this progress. The director also mentioned initiatives developed in the coast and the Verão Maior Project as examples of the state strategy to expand the flow of visitors.
Next meeting will be in Curitiba
The participation in ABAV Expo also served to promote the 31st Expo Turismo Paraná, scheduled for May 6 and 7, 2027, in Curitiba.
With the theme “Real connections. Businesses that travel far”, the organization projects approximately 6,000 participants.
The expectation presented is to bring together about 2,400 travel agents, as well as operators, destinations, suppliers and buyers from different markets. Caravans from Paraná, Santa Catarina, São Paulo, Rio Grande do Sul, Paraguay and Argentina are also planned.
