The incident was recorded at around 2 p.m., when agents of the Regional 05 team of the GCM arrived at the address indicated in the complaint.
According to the report of the Municipal Guard, the teenager reported that she did not know where the mother was and that she and the brothers remained without the presence of a responsible adult for some time.
In addition to the situation involving minors, the agents identified unhealthy conditions in the residence, which increased concern about the safety and well-being of the children.
The Guardian Council has been activated
In view of the situation, the Municipal Guard called on the Guardianship Council of Ponta Grossa, which came to the place to assess the conditions in which the eight brothers were.
After the procedures performed by the organ, three children were given to the father, while the other five were under the care of an aunt.
The measure was formalized through terms of responsibility issued by the Guardian Council, ensuring that the minors remained under the care of relatives.
The dog also needed veterinary care.
During the investigation of the complaint that motivated the occurrence, the guards found a dog in the back of the property, without showing apparent movement.
According to the information passed on to the team, the animal had been run over the previous day and was still awaiting veterinary care.
In view of the situation, the agents contacted the clínica veterinária Clinical, who provided the necessary care to the dog.
The initial denunciation of possible mistreatment of the animal ended, therefore, also revealing a situation of possible abandonment of incapable involving eight brothers.
The incident was referred to the Civil Police.
At the end of the service, the owner of the property was referred to the 13th Police Subdivision (13th SDP), in Ponta Grossa, for evaluation of the police authority and adoption of the appropriate measures.
The occurrence was classified by the Municipal Guard as abandonment of incapable and mistreatment of animals. Any criminal liability will depend on the facts being determined by the competent authorities.
