Haddad criticizes Flávio Bolsonaro after walk with Lula
Fernando Haddad criticized Flávio Bolsonaro for not accounting for the film 'Dark Horse' and linked him to scandals. The comments were made during a walk with Lula in São Miguel Paulista.
The PT’s candidate for the government of São Paulo, Fernando Haddad, on Saturday criticized Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL) for failing to account for the origin and destination of the money given by banker Daniel Vorcaro, of Banco Master, to finance the film ‘Dark Horse’. The statement was made during a walk with President Lula (PT), in São Miguel Paulista, in the East Zone of São Paulo.
According to Haddad, the senator "is wrapped up in all the corruption scandals." The production that tells the story of the former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) – Flávio’s father – is under investigation in Supremo Tribunal Federal (STF) and also in the Public Prosecutor’s Office of SP (MP-SP), on suspicion of use of public resources by producer Karina da Gama, Go UP Entertainment and the Instituto Conhecer Brasil (ICB).
Haddad lists names linked to scandals
During the speech, the petista listed people who, according to him, are associated with Flávio Bolsonaro in different cases. In the Master he has the Vorcaro. In the militias he has Adriano [of Nóbrega] and in the cracks the Queiroz. He's always wrapped up in something dangerous. And now he wants to take over the presidency of the Republic. From this Pernambuco here, we will not leave," he said.
Haddad also stated that Flávio Bolsonaro "does not account for the Dark Horse movie because it does not really do." The speech reinforces the criticism of the lack of transparency about the financing of production.
Alfinetada in Tarcísio de Freitas
In the same event, Haddad also pinned the governor Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans), his opponent in the race for the government of São Paulo in the election of October 4, 'From October 4 we will re-elect Lula and realize Tarcísio's dream to go home, return to Brasilia. Alongside the vice president, Geraldo Alckmin (PSB), and Senate candidates Simone Tebet (PSB) and Marina Silva (Rede), Haddad also praised Lula’s ban on betting companies in Brazil and the popular ‘Game of the Tiger’ in the country.
“The rich have complained that we have created a tax for the bank, for the bet and for the billionaire. We created for 141,000 rich people who started paying tax, for 15 million Brazilians who earn up to R$ 5,000 to stop paying income tax. We are not ashamed to do tax justice. If they’re into it, they’re now having one more problem to solve, with the end of the bets,” he said.
Haddad also criticized Flavio and Tarcisio for defending the bets. 'They [Flavio and Tarcisio] are defending bet that President Lula is over. Because we want people to have free time and change the scale 6 by 1. But this free time is not to take care of the children, to help the family, and not to keep playing on the cell phone," he said.
The declarations come amid the electoral campaign for the government of São Paulo, with Haddad seeking to reinforce his candidacy alongside Lula and national allies.
