Hailstorm in Palmeira surprises residents and reaches areas of Ponta Grossa

A hail shower in Palmeira was recorded on Friday night, causing surprise among residents of the city of Campos Gerais. Images sent to BnT Online show the occurrence of ice stones during the rain, recorded around the night period.

The phenomenon has also begun to hit areas of Ponta Grossa. Around 8 pm, residents of some regions of the city reported rain accompanied by hail, increasing attention due to the weather conditions expected for the region.

The occurrence occurs in a period of instability in the Paraná, with forecast changes in the weather and the possibility of heavy rainfall in different cities of the Campos Gerais.

Residents recorded images of the moment when the hail struck Palmeira. The videos show ice rocks falling along with rain, forming a white layer in some areas.

To date, there is no information on damage caused by hailfall in Palmeira or records of occurrences related to the phenomenon.

In Ponta Grossa, teams and residents are keeping an eye on the weather conditions, mainly due to the possibility of new rain strokes, wind gusts and isolated storms during the night.
