Hospital employee arrested suspected of selling fake medical certificates in Paraná

A hospital official and a woman were arrested on Monday in Curitiba on suspicion of producing and selling false medical certificates. According to the Civil Police of Paraná (PCPR), the documents were negotiated by messaging application and presented diagnostics such as food poisoning and kidney stones. The information was released by g1 Paraná.
The operation carried out warrants in the Boqueirão and Novo Mundo neighborhoods. The names of the suspects were not disclosed. According to police, the man works in a hospital in the Metropolitan Region of Curitiba and already had a criminal history for falsifying documents and for facilitating access to hospital supplies. The woman had tickets for theft.
During the search, police seized dozens of blank certificates, cloned stamps with the names of doctors, dentists and pedagogues, as well as printing materials, tablets, mobile phones, bank receipts and ammunition. The items will be forwarded to expertise.
Investigation started after action in 2025
According to PCPR, Monday’s operation is a unfolding of information obtained after a registered action on October 29, 2025. The investigation gathered data from the Military Police and the Civil Police.
The delegate Hormínio de Paula Lima Neto stated that the certificates were offered with retroactive diagnosis. Police are also investigating suspicions that the group had clandestine access to camera systems to track the movement of vehicles.

The two prisoners were referred to the prison system. According to PCPR, they can be held accountable for forgery of public documents, ideological falsehood, use of false documents, procedural fraud and criminal association. The investigation is still ongoing.
