Jepca widens number of modalities

In total, 20 educational institutions, including APAE, will be represented. The different municipal parasport poles will also participate in the programming.
The municipality has been expanding activities aimed at children and adolescents with disabilities. In 2025, Castro received recognition as a Brazilian Paralympic Reference Center, strengthening the implementation of sports poles in schools in urban and rural areas.
Inland communities also participate
Students served by the Sport in the Interior program will also participate in the Jeca. The initiative maintains permanent sports training in the communities of Socavão, Abapã, Guararema and Tronco.
In the previous edition, athletes from the Socavão athletics pole contributed to the results of the Fabiana Pimentel College. The Escola do Guararema won, for the first time, a title in the women’s futsal.
City Council mobilizes structure for games
In addition to the Municipal Sport Secretariat, other areas of the municipal administration will be involved in the realization of Jeca and Jepca.
The Municipal Secretariat of Education works in the mobilization of students, transport and food. The municipal secretariats of Public Safety and Health will maintain support teams during the competitions in the gyms and other sports spaces.
