The numbers correspond to the results known until 4 pm and may still undergo changes as new ballot boxes are counted. Flávio Bolsonaro began international counting ahead, driven mainly by the results recorded in Asia. However, the entry of the votes of European countries and the Oriente Médio changed the scenario, placing Lula in the first position.
Lula gains wide advantage in Europe
The performance of the current president in European countries was decisive for the change in leadership. Among the 26 countries in Europe with results recorded in the survey, Lula won at 25. In Germany, the petista received 79.09% of the valid votes, while Flávio Bolsonaro reached 20.91%. In France, the advantage was even greater, with 83.96% for Lula and 16.04% for the opponent.
Portugal, which concentrates an expressive Brazilian community, also recorded the president’s victory. Lula received 34,319 votes (59.42%), against 23,433 votes (40.58%) of Flávio Bolsonaro. In the United Kingdom, the current president received 63.34% of the vote. In Spain, it obtained 68.42%, while in Italy it registered 59.99%.
Greece was the exception among the European countries counted, with victory of Flávio Bolsonaro by 54.95% of the valid votes.
Flávio Bolsonaro wins in Japan with more than 80%

More than 918 thousand Brazilians are able to vote abroad
According to data from TSE, approximately 918,000 Brazilians residing outside the country are eligible to participate in the 2026 presidential elections. Voters are spread across 186 cities in 134 countries. Due to time zone differences, some locations close the voting before Brazil, allowing early knowledge of the results recorded in the ballot boxes.

The result abroad does not define the presidential election
Although Lula took the lead among known votes abroad, the numbers do not represent the national result of the election. The vote of Brazilians living in the country concentrates the majority of the electorate and will be decisive in defining who will occupy the Presidency of the Republic.
The disclosure of the official totalization by TSE is scheduled to begin from 17:00, by the time of Brasilia, after the end of the voting. In Ponta Grossa, in Campos Gerais, as well as in other Brazilian municipalities, voters participate this Sunday in the choice of the next president of the Republic.
