Man arrested in Italy for torture in BDSM practice
A man was arrested in Chieri, Italy, accused of torturing his partner for about 12 hours during an extreme sexual practice. The victim claimed she revoked her consent, but the attacks continued. She was hospitalized with severe injuries and plastic restraints on her ankles.

A man was arrested in the Chieri region outside Turin on charges of torturing his partner for about 12 hours during an extreme sexual practice. The arrest was carried out by the Carabinieri following the request of the prosecution and determination of the Turin Justice. The victim, whose identity was not revealed, was admitted to Chieri Hospital on October 3, but the case only came to the public on Tuesday (13).
According to the Italian police, the assaults occurred during a BDSM session (Bondage, Discipline, Sadism and Masochism) initially consented by the couple. However, the woman claimed to have expressly opposed the violence and revoked her consent during the episode. The suspect’s version, however, is different: he claims that the combined security words were not uttered.
Victim reported assaults and revocation of consent
According to the report provided to health professionals, the companion would have used an improvised shock gun and a compressed air pistol to attack her. The woman was also reportedly beaten, strangled and immobilized with plastic clamps. When he arrived at the health unit, he was still with the clamps attached to his ankles.
The injuries included marks all over the body, signs of strangulation in the neck, and facial trauma. The victim was able to call for help by the emergency number, which triggered the paramedics and, subsequently, the carabinieri of the Chieri police station. The source did not detail the exact time between the distress call and the response.
Police found a suspect cleaning the house.
Upon arrival at the couple’s residence, officers found the suspect cleaning the house, apparently under the influence of drugs, according to investigators. The property was disorganized and showed signs of struggle. During the search, police located an improvised device attached to the wall that, according to the man himself, was used to suspend the companion by the wrists.
They also seized an electric shock device made from a modified mosquito net, a gas pistol with various ammunition and instruments intended for extreme sexual practices, some equipped with metal tips and chains. Traces of cocaine and heroin were also found in the apartment. According to sources informed of the case, the substances were allegedly consumed by the couple.
Divergent versions on consent
In his report, the suspect stated that the two had combined safety words that should interrupt sexual activity if they were uttered by the woman. According to him, these words would not have been used during the episode. The version presented by the victim, however, is different: she stated that she expressly opposed the violence and withdrew the consent she had initially granted for the sexual practice.
The man was arrested on charges of torture, at the request of the prosecution and determination of the Turin Justice. The source did not detail whether he remains detained or if there is a planned hearing. The case is still under investigation by the Italian authorities.
The episode raises discussions about the limits of consent in extreme sexual practices and criminal accountability in cases of domestic violence. For readers of the Paraná, the case serves as an alert to the importance of reporting any form of abuse, regardless of the context.
