Defendant will be judged on Thursday (17) for qualified homicide that occurred in 2021 in the Ronda neighborhood, in Ponta Grossa; session starts at 8:30 am at the Jury Court

Almost five years after a murder occurred in the Ronda neighborhood, in Ponta Grossa, the case reaches the Jury Court on Thursday (17). Rafael Christian Nusda will be tried in a criminal case for qualified homicide related to the death of Cristian Luiz Gonçalves Rosas de Oliveira. The session is scheduled to begin at 8:30 am, in person, at the Ponta Grossa State Justice Forum.
The trial is on the official agenda of the Jury Court for September and will be presided over by Judge Luiz Carlos Fortes Bittencourt.

The case is filed under the number 0032822-32.2021.8.16.0019. In the documents of the Judiciary, the action is classified as within the jurisdiction of the Jury Court and has as its main subject qualified homicide. The State Prosecutor's Office of Paraná is responsible for the prosecution.
Crime happened in the early hours of the morning in the Round
The court documents provide details on when and where the case occurred that will be reviewed by the jury. According to a statement issued by the Court of Appeals, the events took place on December 7, 2021, at around 4 a.m., on Republic of Panama Street, near number 893, in the Ronda neighborhood, at Ponta Grossa.
The document expressly mentions the death of Cristian Luiz Gonçalves Rosas de Oliveira. The documentation made available to BnT Online, however, does not describe the full dynamics of the crime, the weapon or instrument eventually used, nor does it present the motivation attributed to the murder. Therefore, these points cannot be stated on the basis of the documents analyzed.
Judgment will be in person
The Court confirmed that the session will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at 8:30 am, in person. The court document also relates the trial to Inquiry No. 234576/2021. The jury will take place at the State Justice Forum, located at Rua Doutor Leopoldo Guimarães da Cunha, 590, in the Oficinas neighborhood, in Ponta Grossa.
In the September trials, Rafael Christian Nusda appears as a defendant in the session of the 17th, under the presidency of Judge Luiz Carlos Fortes Bittencourt.
Police officers were called as witnesses.
Among the measures taken by the Justice for the trial is the request of two civil police officers of the Paraná to participate in the session as witnesses. Matheus Candéo Iurk and Nickson Claiter da Silva were requested. The letter was sent to the Chief Delegate of the 13th Police Subdivision of Ponta Grossa.
The document explains that witnesses could testify during the session and records the consequences provided for in the legislation in case of unjustified absence after regular subpoena.
Justice has requested all bulletins involving the victim.
The preparation for the jury also involved a determination directed both at the 13th SDP of Ponta Grossa and the 1st Battalion of the Military Police. In a letter signed in August, the Judiciary ordered that copies of all the registered occurrence bulletins in which Cristian Luiz Gonçalves Rosas de Oliveira appeared as a party be forwarded.
The request was not restricted to active records. The order stipulated that the consultation also covered cases filed, closed or ongoing in the systems of police corporations. The letter set a deadline of 15 days for the forwarding of this information to the Court.
Another detail recorded in the document is that, at the time, the process was listed as “trial with a defendant in custody: no.”
The Criminal Investigation Institute was also established
The Justice also sent a specific request to the Criminalistics Institute of Paraná, in Ponta Grossa, seeking information on possible expertise carried out at the murder site. The institute was questioned about the existence of a local expert examination related to the events that took place in the early hours of December 7, 2021, on Republic Street of Panama.
If the expert work had been carried out, the Court requested the sending of a copy of the report, or, alternatively, the indication of the number of the report and the sector responsible for its preparation. The request also set a 15-day deadline. The documents analyzed by the BnT do not, however, present the content of any expert report, only the request made by the Judiciary.
Public Prosecutor’s Office presented documents on the eve of the jury
A recent move in the process took place on September 11, 2026, six days before the scheduled date for the session. At the time, Judge Luiz Carlos Fortes Bittencourt dismissed the collection of documents submitted by the Public Prosecutor’s Office, considering the timely submission, with reference to article 479 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
The decision also determined that the adverse party was to be scientifically informed about the documents submitted. The firm formally identifies Cristian Luiz Gonçalves Rosas de Oliveira as a victim and Rafael Christian Nusda as a defendant.
The jury will decide the case.
During the Jury Court, the prosecution and defense may present their theses before the Judgment Council. It will be up to the jurors to analyze the elements presented in the process and decide on the accusation submitted to trial. Rafael Christian Nusda arrives at the hearing as a defendant, not a convicted person. The criminal liability will be defined according to the judgment and any subsequent decisions.
The session begins at 8:30 this Thursday (17) at the Ponta Grossa Forum. The BnT Online follows the case and will bring the trial update and the outcome of the jury’s decision.
