Man is arrested for drug trafficking during joint operation in Irati
Drug trafficking arrest in Irati ends with seizure of marijuana, ecstasy, money and investigation-related materials
The arrest for drug trafficking in Irati was registered on Thursday (24), during a joint action by the Civil Police of Paraná (PCPR) and the Military Police of Paraná (PMPR). The man was detained in the municipality after complying with a judicial search and seizure warrant, carried out within Operation Omnis.
The action aimed to gather elements for an investigation related to the illegal trade of narcotics. During the searches carried out by the police teams in a property, materials were found that, according to the police, are related to the practice investigated.
At the address, the agents located approximately 34 grams of a marijuana-like substance and 25 tablets of MDMA, popularly known as ecstasy. In addition to drugs, R$ 1,181.45 in cash were also seized, a value found divided into different banknotes.
The teams also collected a notebook with notes that may be related to the movement of drug trafficking and a cellular device, materials that should assist in the progress of the investigations conducted by the Civil Police.
After the location of the materials, the suspect received a voice of arrest in flagrante and was referred to the Civil Police Station of Irati. On the spot, the legal procedures regarding the case were carried out.
The man was charged with the crime of drug trafficking, provided for in article 33 of Law No. 11,343/2006. After the proceedings at the police station, he remained at the disposal of the Justice.
The arrest for drug trafficking was attended by civil police teams of Paraná and members of the Local Intelligence Agency of the 8th Independent Military Police Company.
Integrated action among the security agencies seeks to expand the fight against drug trafficking and strengthen investigation actions in the region. Operations with the joint participation of police forces aim to identify suspects, collect evidence and combat criminal activities.
