Mayor Celebrates New Stage of Pavement Work on São João Road in Carambeí
Pavement of São João Road will have an additional 10.6 km in Carambeí, with R$ 20.5 million investment in the second phase of the project.
The paving of the São João Road, in Carambeí, will gain another 10.62 kilometers in a new stage of the work. The prefeita Elisangela Pedroso celebrated the signing of the agreement for the second phase of the project, which provides investment of more than R$ 20.5 million and will take the asphalt to the unit of the Cooperativa Frísia.
The new phase extends the project that is already running in the municipality. Currently, the first stage of the paving contemplates the stretch of the São João Road to the region of the two bridges. With the new agreement, the improvement will be extended by another 10,625.79 meters.
According to the project presented by Cooperativa Frísia, the investment planned for the second stage is R$ 20,532,339.02. The municipality will not need a financial contribution for the implementation of this phase.
The prefeita Elisangela Pedroso celebrated the confirmation of the work and highlighted the importance of the continuity of paving for Carambeí, mainly for rural communities and for the productive sector that uses the road daily.
The work will be divided into two sections
The second phase of paving the Road of the São João will be executed in two segments.
The first will be 5,342.13 meters and will start in the region of the two bridges, following until the Estrada da Bocaina. The route passes through the Santa Cruz School area.
The second stretch will be 5,283.66 meters. It will start at the confluence with the road that gives access to Santa Cruz and will continue to the unit of the Cooperativa Frísia.
The paving will be made in CBUQ, the hot-worked bituminous concrete, a material used in the construction of asphalt pavements. The runway will be six meters wide.
The period foreseen for the execution of the services is 12 months.
Road is important for rural production
The São João Road is one of Carambeí’s important rural routes and serves residents, producers and properties installed in the region.
The road is also used for the transport of agricultural products and dairy production, activities that have a strong presence in the economy of the municipality.
With the expansion of the asphalt, the expectation is to facilitate the displacement of rural communities and improve the conditions for the transport of production during different periods of the year.
The completion of the second phase will cause the paving to advance to the Frisian unit, strengthening the link between the productive areas of the municipality and the structure used by the agricultural sector.
The new stage will follow the interventions already carried out on the São João Road and will expand the road infrastructure in the rural area of Carambeí.
